How can I campaign?

The Students’ Union is separate to the university, so we have always pushed for change that benefits students. Now, we want you to join in to make your mark on the university experience, or on the wider community. Whether you want to start your own campaign or want to get involved in an initiative that is already underway, we’re here to support you to make real change!

What can I campaign about?

From sharing information on how best to support marginalised groups, hosting a workshop for student wellbeing, or demanding changes to a university system – your campaign could take many forms. You could campaign about something that’s specifically affecting Northumbria University students, a national student issue, or even react to a worldwide changing situation or event.

How can NSU support my campaign?

A dedicated staff team is available at the Students’ Union that can help with anything from campaigning advice, room booking and administration, or marketing. To get in touch, message su.reps@northumbria.ac.uk.

Your campaign may also be eligible for funding from our Rep Grants. This is a one-off grant that you can apply for to help cover some of the costs of your campaign. Get in touch and we can help you with this su.reps@northumbria.ac.uk.
