What is a PGR Rep?

1 min. readlast update: 07.15.2025

PGR Reps are students who are at the university completing a Postgraduate Research (PGR) degree. This is a degree which results in a PhD (Doctor of Philosophy). Only students completing a PhD at the university can be PGR Reps. If you are not a PGR student at the university, you are not eligible to be a PGR Rep.

Some students get confused between PGR Reps and Programme Reps, or think that PGR stands for Programme, so we want to be clear that "PGR" specifically refers to Postgraduate Research degrees. If you are a Masters student, you are a PGT (Postgraduate Taught) student.
